Morgan Giles


Morgan Giles joined James A. Giles in 2011. He graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and earned his law degree from The Capital University Law School where he graduated with magna cum laude honors. While at Capital, he was an active member of the Law Review and is the author of a note published in the fall 2011 edition of the Capital University Law Review titled “A Call to Action: Expanding Public Access to Ohio’s Navigable Rivers and Streams.” This note challenges Ohio’s current stream access law and calls for more access to these waterways for Ohio’s Sportsmen. Morgan is engaged in a general practice, focusing on real estate, representation of small business owners in a wide variety of matters, criminal defense, OVI, probate, and personal injury. Morgan is a licensed Title Insurance Agent and serves as Counsel for ACS Title and Closing Services of Knox County. In his free time, Morgan spends time with his friends and family and enjoys outdoor recreation, especially skiing.


Alysse Giles grew up in Licking County Ohio.  She graduated from Newark Catholic High School.  Aly received her undergraduate education at Ohio University.  While she was a Bobcat, she was the Vice President of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honors society.  She graduated with degrees in English, pre-law and Political Science. Alysse graduated from Capital University Law School in 2011. She was an oralist and brief writer on the Criminal Law Moot Court team, received a CALI award for excellence, and served as an ambassador for incoming students.  She earned the designation “cum laude” for her academic excellence. Aly was admitted to practice law in Ohio after passing the July 2011 bar exam.  She started as a solo practitioner. From April, 2012 to 2015, Alysse L. Giles was with the White Law Office. She began as an independent contractor, then was hired as Associate and later became partner. In 2015 and 2016, Aly again worked as a solo practitioner.  She also worked as an independent contractor during that time, prosecuting cases in the Knox County Juvenile Court. Aly joined the Giles Law Group in 2017. She will continue to focus on family law, civil litigation, juvenile cases, adoptions, and criminal defense. ​In her spare time, Aly enjoys spending time with her family and dog Trapper, sharing laughs with her friends; reading; hiking; going to see live music; cooking; and photography.



Mr. Giles graduated cum laude from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and earned his law degree at The Ohio State University. He has been licensed to practice law since 1981 and is currently licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Ohio, the U.S. Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Giles is a licensed Title Insurance Agent and is General Counsel for Knox Title Agency, Inc., dba ACS Title & Closing Services of Knox County. Mr. Giles is currently a member of the Board of the Foundation for the Knox Community Hospital and is also a commissioner of the Knox County Park District. He has been an adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America and was formerly on the Board of Knox New Hope Industries. He is married with two adult sons.
